Provider Course Search

This site has been developed to assist insurance producers and applicants in obtaining information about education providers and courses. New applicants can find Pre-Licensing courses to satisfy the 52-hour prerequisite for taking the state exam, as well as, current licensees who are looking for courses to meet their continuing education requirements.

By making your selection from the Search Parameters below, you will be able to locate information that will assist you in finding courses that meet your educational needs.

  • Education Provider – To refine your search for an Education Provider, you can perform a sub-search for a specific Education Provider by clicking the dropdown arrow of the Education Provider field and enter more detailed search criteria such as (Provider Name, Education Type, Phone, or Toll Phone).
  • Education Type – This is a required filter and defaults to ‘Continuing Education’, you can change the filter to ‘Pre-Licensing Education’ if applicable.
  • Instruction Method – Select Contact (Classroom or Webinar) or Non-Contact (Internet/self-directed).
  • Category Type – This list can pre-filter based on the combination of Education Type and License Type filters selected. Category type offers you a list of courses that may be necessary to satisfy a specific educational requirement. The provider shall provide the Commissioner with a roster of students given certificates of completion as follows (California Code of Regulations section 2188.8(b)(1)(2)):

  1. The pre-licensing roster is to be submitted within ten (10) business days following the completion of the course.
  2. The continuing education roster is to be submitted within thirty (30) calendar days following the completion of the course. Said roster shall include the name of the instructor/subject matter expert if the instructor/subject matter expert is requesting credit for the course.
